Outdoor Soccer

The kids loved Indoor Soccer so much, they begged to play Outdoor as well. It was so much fun to watch them get a little more coordinated and a little more confident. They loved playing with all the other kids. The dynamic of their team this time was definitely a little different, though. Their last team had a couple of boys that were a little older and more experienced that the rest of the kids, and they kind of took over and we always ended up winning-- every game. Kyler thought this was the BEST thing ever, even though he didn't get near the ball, much. He just thought we had to win, or he wouldn't get a trophy. However, for outdoor soccer, our team all had a much more even skill level... and we were definitely NOT winning every game. They don't keep score at this age, but the kids still notice when the other team makes goal after goal, and we don't get any. So Kyler would get really disappointed every time the other team would make a goal. It was a good learning experience, as we were able to teach him that he has to try his very best, and it doesn't matter who wins, as long as he has fun... that, and that he has to HELP his team, and not just let the big kids do all the work ;) Libby on the other hand, just loved running around with the other kids. She was the only girl on the team and she felt so big getting to play with all those boys! Every time she would run past us, she would look over with the biggest grin on her face, and show us how fast she can run!

Kyler showing us his "meditating".

I think he was "willing" the ball to come to him ;)
Caught Libby deep in thought, winning soccer games takes lots of concentration!
