We started off March with a fun little trip to Las Vegas for the NASCAR race! My sister has business with the track every year, and part of the contract includes a RV spot in the infield for the big race! We were excited we got to go this year, with the kids!
I didn't take NEARLY enough pictures of this trip, but we got to stay with Uncle Joe and Aunt Tiffany and the kids LOVED their turtles. They even got to help feed them. They've been begging for pet turtles for quite a while (thanks to daddy, who has wanted some for a long time) but now they are even more insistent that we need a new pet!
Plus Spencer found plenty of mischief to get into...
The kids all loved playing around in the infield during the race. So many cousins, so much fun!
That night, the adults got away for a little dinner....
When we got back, this is what Kyler and Libby looked like! Silly tired kids. They had way too much fun playing nonstop with all their cousins.
In March Kyler started Indoor Soccer! Libby decided she didn't want to play this year, but Kyler was very excited. He was still a bit timid about going for the ball--he actually tended to avoid it all together! He would chase and chase the ball, until it actually came to him, and then he would back up and let someone else get in there are take over. Most importantly, he had a lot of fun, and made some new friends!
Ever since watching Kyler play soccer, Spencer loves to kick the soccer ball, or anything other ball.. or toy, around the house. He loves to do whatever his big brother does!
Including teeth brushing... This kid just can't get enough of brushing his teeth. He loves it!
Spencer was a little behind the snow shoveling craze... but he had fun trying anyway!
We love our family movie nights!
The end of March was Jonathan's long awaited ballet performance. He did a really great job, and we all enjoyed watching it!
Prince Charming, in the flesh!
In April Spencer started Swimming lessons! He was in Toddler-Parent class on Saturday mornings for the whole month. We assumed he would love it, since he always love taking baths, and he loves the water... Unfortunately the first few lessons did not go as planned. He HATED it. I think he was just really overwhelmed with the big, huge, loud pool. So many people, so much water.
These pictures are all from his very first lesson. He did calm down a little by the end.. and by the end of the month of lessons, he actually really loved it.
Libby also started her DANCE class in April! She has been SO excited to take dance. She's in a hip-hop class and she is loving it!
And her brothers love to play in the auditorium while they wait...
Kyler is the best big brother!
Batter up!
We had a fun game night at Aunt Bekah's house!
Before we knew it... it was Libby's birthday! She had been counting down for probably 2 months straight. She would ask everyday, "how many more days until my birthday?"
She had an awesome birthday week, as it was also Spring Break! We had a little family party and let Libby pick whatever dinner place she wanted.
Of course she picked Golden Corral... because they have a chocolate fountain and all you can eat dessert!
We also spent a lot of time at the park, enjoying the warm weather.
We love playing outside and going to the park! So so excited for WARM weather!
Along with the warmer weather, we were finally able to convince Kyler to cut his hair! (Not that it took much convincing, he just decided it was time! I think he was sick of us making him keep combing the tangles out)
What a handsome little stud!
The weekend of Easter Spencer got to enjoy an water filled Easter egg hunt! Our nearby rec center does an "Easter Egg Dive" and put all the eggs in the pool. Spencer had so much fun collecting eggs from the water. The eggs were all empty, but at the end of the hunt, we turned all the eggs in and exchanged them for a big bag of Easter candy.
The next weekend we got to have Haylee and Jadyn over for a sleepover! All the kids loved having their cousins over, and they had way too much fun.
We also went over to Grandma and Papa's house for a little family home evening activity.
Spring is my favorite season ever. Life is Good!
